Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is up to $1000 for the academic year (in addition to the Honors Achievement Award). Students must qualify for the Honors Achievement Award and be enrolled at least 6 credit hours per semester for the upcoming academic year. International Students are eligible to apply. Honors Achievement Award students and Presidents' Honors Scholars who are now in the fourth and final semester of the Presidents' Honors Scholarship are eligible to apply. Scholarship Recipients will be notified by early March.
Eligibility
To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria, in addition to maintaining lawful presence and in-county residency:
- Current HAA student
- Cumulative MCCCD GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Plan to enroll full-time during the fall and spring
Upon Acceptance
After students are awarded the Foundation Scholarship, the following are required each semester:
- Successful completion of HONORS100-00HAA non-credit course
- Full-time enrollment for the duration of the scholarship and remain in good standing with Rio Salado College
- Successful completion of at least 12 credit hours each semester, including at least one 3-credit Honors course
- Cumulative MCCCD GPA of 3.25 or higher and completion of one co-curricular activity
