Rio Recognized for Civic Engagement
Rio Salado College’s commitment toward fostering civic engagement and encouraging students and community members to participate in voting has been recognized with two prestigious honors from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. Rio Salado received the Silver Seal for Student Civic Engagement for achieving a 30-39 percent student voting rate in the 2022 midterm elections. The college was also honored in 2026 with the Highly Established Action Plan Seal for developing a nonpartisan democratic engagement action plan.
