Steps for Evaluation of Transcripts
Step 1: Admission and Program Declaration
- Requirement: Students must be fully admitted to the college and declare a program of study.
- Eligibility: Official transfer credit evaluations are available only for students enrolled in a program at Rio Salado College.
- Action: Follow the directions for submission of official transcripts.
- Prerequisites: If you need to submit an unofficial transcript for prerequisite approval, do so at Prerequisite Verification Request.
Step 2: Transcript Evaluation Process
- Order: Transcripts are evaluated in the order they are received by the college.
- Timeframe: The evaluation process may take up to five weeks.
- Expedite: To expedite the process, work with your assigned academic advisor who can submit a request on your behalf.
- Post-Evaluation: Once the evaluation is completed, discuss the results with your advisor to understand how the courses fit into your Degree Progress Report.
Step 3: Grade Requirements for Transfer
- Minimum Grade: Only courses with a grade of C or higher are accepted for transfer.
Step 4: Graduation Application
- Requirement: All transfer coursework must be posted before you submit your application for graduation.
