The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Educational Construction Trades Partnership: H.V.A.C.r Residential Service program is designed to provide entry-level training in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (H.V.A.C.r) systems, electricity, electronic controls, and general repair. Students will have the opportunity to learn skills necessary to assess and solve problems quickly.
Details
This program is offered through an educational partnership. Employment by the partnership organization is required for admission.
This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
- Demonstrate Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards in daily workplace practices. (CON102++, CON103, CON/HVA170++, CON271)
- Demonstrate proficient use of tools and equipment in the installation and repair of system components for H.V.A.C.r. (CON102++, CON103, CON/HVA170++, CON271)
- Perform H.V.A.C.r electrical and mechanical installations, establishing relationships between theory and practical application. (CON102++, CON103, CON/HVA170++, CON271)
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and standards. (CON102++, CON103, CON/HVA170++, CON271)
- Diagnose faults in residential H.V.A.C.r systems. (CON102++, CON/HVA170++)
- Perform installation and maintenance of H.V.A.C.r systems. (CON102++, CON103, CON/HVA170++, CON271)
- Use technical documents to service and/or install on residential H.V.A.C.r systems. (CON102++, CON/HVA170++)
- Demonstrate professionalism and customer service skills with diverse audiences. (CON/HVA170++)
- Work within a team structure that includes multiple industries. (CON/HVA170++)
