A Message from President Smith: Share Your Community College Pride & Pay It Forward
I am writing to you today in celebration of Community College Month— to celebrate you and to thank you for choosing to be a part of our Rio Salado College family.
As a community college, we proudly provide open access to anyone who has a passion for learning, to support students in their journey of higher learning and help students move forward at a pace that fits with their lifestyle.
Our college is proudly joining other education activists around the country to advocate for and increase awareness about the transformative power of community colleges.
We are proud to be a place of first choice as well as second chances, where you can reinvent yourself to learn new skills, re-career and get a new start in life. So to us, community college is a means of creating access, equity, inclusion, economic mobility and life-changing opportunities. To us, community colleges are a national treasure.
We hope you will join us in this effort to champion community colleges— and pay it forward by inspiring someone you know to get started on their educational journey.
