Rio Salado College Celebrates International Education Week
To paraphrase an old saying: learn globally, act locally. November 15-19 is International Education Week, a time to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Human history is a chronicle of vibrant culture exchange; nations may have borders but ideas do not. They take wing like birds on migration and go where they need to be to flourish. We all have so much to teach each other.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. IEW was formed to promote programs that prepare Americans for being a part of a global environment as well as to attract future leaders from abroad to come to the States to study, learn, and share their experiences.
At Rio Salado College, we’re proud to offer educational opportunities to students across the county, many of whom are learning to find their way in America after living abroad. We also provide online education to international students. If you are an international student who wants to enroll in classes at Rio Salado, contact our International Education Office at (480) 517-8416 or our website.
