Are you planning to transfer from Rio Salado to NAU, ASU, or U of A and need help paying for college? Apply for the 2024-2025 All-Arizona Academic Team Scholarship. Rio Salado College will pick two eligible students to receive a two-year full-time (or four-year part-time) tuition scholarship to transfer to one of Arizona’s three state universities. The deadline to apply is Sunday, October 27, at 11:59 p.m. AZ Time.
What You Need To Know
The application process has two parts:
- A written application with a letter of recommendation (check out our blog if you need help asking someone to write you a letter)
- An in-person interview
The written application includes several questions about why you’ve chosen the major you’re pursuing, your volunteer/community work outside of school, and a place describe significant accomplishments you’re proud of.
In addition to the interview and application, you must meet ALL of the following criteria to be eligible:
- Be a current (Fall 2024) Rio student who’s enrolled in a minimum of 6 college credits.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for all college-level courses completed during the last 5 years.
- On track to earn an associate degree and complete 36 semester college level credits by December 31, 2024, AND 48 semester college-level credit hours by August 31, 2025.
- Plan to transfer to ASU, NAU, or U of A within the next 12-16 months.
- Track record of involvement with school and/or community activities.
- Permanent or temporary residency in the U.S. or possess a visa considered appropriate by Rio Salado College that meets the criteria of lawful presence in the U.S.
- Have a college record free of suspension, probation, or other disciplinary actions.
