Rio Salado College is excited to launch Rio-specific affinity groups, designed to foster student engagement, amplify voices, and build community connections. These groups are a collaborative effort led by the DEIB Council, Avanzar Team, Student Life, and dedicated colleagues across our college, working together with district support. Groups are open to Rio Salado students and employees.
Why Should You Join an Affinity Group?
Make friends and build community - Joining an affinity group means meeting others who get where you’re coming from. It’s a place to make friends, share your stories, and be part of something bigger.
Grow and learn - These groups often offer campus events, workshops and opportunities to learn new skills and find mentors. Joining is a great way to grow both personally and professionally.
Speak up and make a difference - Affinity groups give you a platform to talk about what matters to you. Whether it’s bringing attention to important issues or suggesting changes, you can have a real impact.
