Looking to break a sweat for a good cause? Lace up your running shoes, grab a sports drink, and meet Rio Salado College at the starting line for our 7th annual Dash with Splash on Saturday, April 5, at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. Located in-between Baseline and Guadalupe roads by Rural Road in South Tempe, Kiwanis Park is a verdant area that wraps around a lake— the perfect setting for a run (or walk) on a spring morning.
The Dash with Splash run benefits the Rio Salado Jo C. Bennett Student Assistance Fund, which provides critical financial support to students in need. Dash with Splash kicks off at 7:30 a.m. on April 5. There are several options available for running: a 5K, 10K, and one mile run. Can’t make it in-person to Kiwanis Park? We also have a virtual run option where you can join in the race from wherever you are.
Dash with Splash is a family-friendly event. We welcome wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. Pets are also welcome so long as they are leashed. No roller blades, skates, skateboards, or motorized devices will be allowed on the run or walk courses.
You can register in advance via the link below or in-person starting at 6:30 a.m. on the day of the run at Kiwanis Park. All participants will receive a custom event medal. Runners who attend in-person can enjoy a pre- and post-race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bar, sports drinks, fruit, etc.) and will receive special event t-shirts.
Sign up now! Prices go up Feb. 1, with another price increase March 1.
