Step 2: Determine Course Placement

New students who are in 10th, 11th or 12th grade applying for admissions must have a high school unweighted GPA of 2.00 or greater. Ninth graders and students who do not have an unweighted GPA of 2.00 or greater will need to take the Edready Reading Assessment which can be found online at maricopa.edready.org.

Students who are taking a math course and do not have a high school unweighted GPA of 2.00 or greater will also need to take the College Algebra EdReady placement test and score 80+. They will also need to submit their high school transcript showing they have taken the necessary high school courses and received A's or B's as this is a pre-requisite for most math classes. They can upload their transcripts here, or email it to dual.enrollment@riosalado.edu, and let us know which math class and teacher you have.

View your high school's dual enrollment course list for more information.

To register for class(es), you will need to call the Dual Enrollment team at 480-517-8080.
