October 10 is World Mental Health Day! Each year the World Federation for Mental Health (WFHM) holds a day of recognition and awareness-raising on the importance of mental health care. The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.”
At Rio Salado College, we strongly believe in the importance of promoting good mental health through our four practices of engagement: mindfulness, empathy, happiness, and resilience. We’ve written several student success and wellness blogs over the last few years to talk about subjects ranging from stress relief and accountability practices to how best to cope with failure,
We’ve assembled a sampling of many of our wellness and health stories, divided up by subject matter. Whether you’re looking to develop better study skills or are interested in developing a healthier work/life balance, these stories can help.
