In-Person Class Registration

How to Register for Adult Education Classes

Now is the right time to enroll in Rio Salado College’s award-winning adult education program to prepare for the GED® test, develop skills in the English language, or participate in career readiness training!

Adult Education classes are offered at no cost the student.

There are two different methods of registering for classes:

Step 1:

Attend a virtual Zoom meeting with an RSC staff member to complete the registration process:

  • An RSC staff member will contact you within the next few days after you submit your Pre-Registration Survey.

Note:

You will need to provide your valid photo ID and payment method during your virtual Zoom meeting to complete the registration process. (see Eligibility, Fees and Scholarships sections below for more information)

Students seeking to register for adult education classes at Rio Salado College must meet state eligibility requirements as defined by the Arizona Department of Education under A.R.S. § 15-232(B), which states that “The Department of Education shall provide classes under this section only to adults who are citizens or legal residents of the United States or are otherwise lawfully present in the United States. This subsection shall be enforced without regard to race, religion, gender, ethnicity or national origin.” Prospective students will certify eligibility and lawful presence by signing a self-declaration statement during the registration process. For identification purposes, prospective students will be asked to present a valid government issued identification that contains a recognizable photo. Students who wish to participate in credit career training will also need to present identification for in-state residency.

Accepted Forms of Payment

Credit or debit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. Money order/cashier's check made payable to Rio Salado College are also accepted. Cash is not accepted. All fees are non-refundable.

Registration Fee

Registration fees are waived until further notice.

The registration fee, which ranges from $25 to $70 based on the student's household income and the number of family members, is currently waived until further notice. Students will pay the registration fee every 16 weeks. Refer to the Registration Fee table to determine how much you can expect to pay for a class. You will make the payment at the time of registration at the Rio Salado location where you plan to attend class. Class fees are non-refundable. Continuing students pay the registration fee every 16 weeks, starting from their initial start date.
