Unusual Circumstances Dependency Overrides
A request for a Dependency Override may be submitted due to unusual circumstances in which conditions warrant a change to the student’s dependency status.
Qualifications for a dependency override include; human trafficking, refugee or asylee status, parental abandonment, incarceration, but are not limited to.
To apply for an Unusual Circumstance Dependency Override you must complete a Request for Dependency Override Form, for the applicable academic year.
Please provide the following information and ensure your Request for Dependency Override form is complete prior to submitting:
- A detailed statement which addresses all the items noted in the
- Request for Dependency Override form
- Provide all supporting documentation
- If requested provide additional information necessary to complete your review of unusual circumstances
